Russian culture is a deeply rooted type of culture, that dates back to the time where the makeup of the Russian community was filled with many who took on the pagan beliefs that were associated with the East Slavs. The time was the 850s A.D. Moving up a bit up the Russian timeline, the Russian community had developed a love and expertise in the Arts. In today’s day and age, one of the aspects that is synonymous with Russian culture is the fact that Russian society has come to master just about every form of creative artistry. One of the areas of Russian culture to which they are known is for the Russian contributions to classical music. The Russians, Jewish, the Ukrainians, and the Gypsies alike, have come to add to the melodic sounds that are heard in the classical tunes of Russia. Russian society is most well known for the folk music that they were able to create. What makes these folk songs so important to Russian culture is the messages that even the very first folk songs exude. And of course, this warranted the dancing that is also known to be a very characterized part of Russian culture as we know it.

Oh, the beauty of Russian ballet! Russian ballet is one of the most revered forms of ballet that there is. This form of ballet dates back to the 19th century. It was originally performed in order to entertain the people of the Royal Court theatre. One of the ballet dancers that was always a sight to see perform was Anna Pavlova. She reached her prime, to be eventually named the best classical ballerina of all times in the late 19th century to the early 20th century. Another aspect of Russian culture that is highly recognized is the strides that Russian society had taken with its earliest film efforts. In the 21st century, popular Russian films such as Brother, House of Fools, and Night Watch had been films of interest across the globe.

We can not make mention of Russian culture unless we are we make mention of the magnificent architecture that is known to Russia. Russian architecture is one of the many culture pursuits of the Russians that continues to flourish as a result of the strong traditional influences that are ever-present. The influences come from the Old East Slavic, with a special consideration and influence of the Russian churches. It is not at all a surprise that we come to sum up Russian culture with their influence on literature. Some of the greatest writings, including poems, novels, and plays, which are the direct descendants of Russian culture, are still studied in an educational setting, and on the leisure times of many, to date.

As we look at the history of Russian society, we should first look to 500 BC. This was the time in Russian history when the Scythians primarily lived in the region. The Scythians were those that lived in Southern Russia and have been noted for the carefully crafted embroidery work that they were able to produce. Russian history had made a shift by the 300s A.D. when the Scythians were said to be invaded by the Huns, who migrated as far as the Volga River, the Avars, who is also said to have invaded Italy, and the Ostrogoths, which was an East Germanic tribe who had a large political influence in the Roman Empire. The history of Russian people had come to reach a pivotal moment when the Avars, the Ostrogoths, and the Huns united. As this element of society within Russian history was forming, this was also a time in the history of Russian society where there was a large amount of trade transpiring amongst those in and around the country of Russia. The history of Russian society had come to reach a very important point when the Slavs began to make their significant impact on Russian history. The Slavs had united with the Vikings, one of the other key traders at this time within Russian history.

History of Russian society became very poignant at this time, as the Slavs and the Vikings had come together to form a kingdom within Russia, with its capital being called Novgorod. This was the commercial center of the land of early Russian history. Although the history of Russian society at this time was not as large in land mass as modern Russia is today, it was still a very prominent area of the Eastern world. As Russian history further illustrated the forming of new relationships, one of the most noted moments of the history of early Russian society was when the Russians had incorporated religion in a big way. The history of Russian society does show evidence of different religious practices being carried out, but it was in the year of 1000 A.D. that the Russian history of religion had reached a pivotal moment. This is the year in which the history of the Russian churches were formed, both in its spiritual and architectural forms. The Russians had decided that they would succumb to the requests of the Byzantine Empire, to whom they had favorable trade relations, and become Christians. By late 1060 A.D., Russian history had made another dramatic development when the Russians had officially moved their capital from Novgorod to Kiev. The history of Russian society really got under way at this point, as they began to flourish in their trade upon moving their major endeavors to the geographic area of Kiev.

Russia today is a country that encompasses the northern parts of the continents of both Europe and Asia. Russia is a country that operates under the direction of a President and a Prime Minister. Russia today is a federation that is made of 83 federal subjects. Russia is the largest country in the world. In addition to its rather large land mass of over 6,500,000 sq mi, it also has 9 different time zones. This large land mass of the country of Russia does not come without value. This is because Russia today is known as being the country to contain the most mineral, energy power, and forest reserves than any other country in the world.

Russia today has a climate that tends to be very humid in the Southern parts of the European region of Russia. There is primarily a tundra climate in the Northern polar regions of Russia, as well as the sub arctic region near Siberia. The arctic coast of Russia tends to vary from warm to cool. As far as the religions that are practiced in Russia today, you will find that the primary religions are Orthodox as well as Muslim. As for the language of the land of Russia, you will find that most Russian speak only Russian. Nevertheless, there are over 100 languages that are spoken in Russia today. Some of those other languages are Tartar, Ukranian, Bashir, Mordvin, Chuvash, and Chechen.

Russia today shares many of the same core values as it always has. One of the values that has been consistently practiced within the traditions of those of Russia is the importance of family. Although most immediate families of Russia are not as large in comparison to other cultures, it is not at all unlikely that several generations of family be banned together through living space. In Russia today, as also in the past, the inhabitants of Russia are very proud of their homeland to which they come from. In Russia Today, you will find this pride being displayed by the traditional folk songs that are still carried out to date, in addition to the unified singing of Russia’s patriotic songs. Russia today, is a cultural force that has remained consistent with influencing the culture of the world, but also remain consistent with staying true and holding on to their very own culture as it continues to strengthen.
